The RDKB is currently seeking applications to fill two new Financial Analyst positions in Trail, BC. The RDKB is expanding the Finance department to meet growing regulatory and auditing requirements, as well as to assist in the responsible administration of grant monies across the district.

Two full-time opportunities are available a permanent position and a 1-year, temporary role.

Reporting to the Manager of Finance, the Financial Analysts will provide reporting, analysis and information to leaders across the organization to support our more than 70 public services throughout the region.

As part of the Finance department, the Financial Analysts will work across a range of projects, including the RDKB’s award-winning annual report, auditing and budgets, and help to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and accounting for the organization.

To be considered for this opportunity candidates must possess the following :

• University degree in commerce, business administration or a related field.
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in good standing is preferred. To be considered, candidates must be enrolled in CPA PEP and have completed the CORE 1 and CORE 2 modules at minimum.
• At least 3 years experiencing in an accounting position.
• An equivalent combination of knowledge, qualification and experience may be considered.
• Strong working knowledge and experience using financial and accounting software.
• Sound knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) standards and related accounting principles.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office environment, including superior Excel skills.
