Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Commercial HVAC – Refrigeration Technician to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that all HVAC and refrigeration units are operating efficiently and effectively, diagnosing issues, and performing necessary repairs. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Safety is a top priority, and you must adhere to all safety protocols and regulations. Additionally, you will be expected to keep detailed records of all work performed and parts used.

Starting Rate : $40.96 per hour. Compensation will increase every year on September 1st. As of September 1, 2026, the rate of pay for this position will be $42.18.

Job Duties Include

• Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Replace defective parts and components.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Keep detailed records of all work performed and parts used.
• Communicate effectively with superiors to explain issues and solutions.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Test refrigeration systems for leaks and other issues.
• Calibrate refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed.
• Ensure proper disposal of refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Consistently provide professional, engaging, and friendly service.
• Answer radio calls.
• Maintain a detailed logbook.
• Dedicate to exceptional guest service, both internal and external.
• Multitask efficiently.
• Complete requests in a timely, accurate, efficient, and knowledgeable manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
