This hybrid role as an Athletic Therapist and Performance Coach is responsible for providing members with customized Athletic Therapy and Personal Training programs, knowledge, motivation and coaching to achieve their personal fitness goals.
The Athletic Therapist and Performance Coach promotes exceptional customer service practices throughout the Club and strives to continuously improve the Athletic Therapy & Personal Training service offering.

Provides exceptional Athletic Therapy and Personal Training programs and service to meet the diverse needs of new and existing clients.
Builds and sustains relationships with new and existing Club members.
- Responsible for ensuring that all Athletic Therapy / Performance Coach presentations and fitness assessments are delivered in accordance with set structure sand standards.
- Accountable for conducting Athletic Therapy / Performance Coaching sessions, maintaining engagement, offering clients suggestions, motivation and feedback throughout the session.
- Responsible for ensuring that new Club members are scheduled for initial Athletic Therapy / Performance Coaching consultations in a timely manner.
Accountable for ensuring that existing Athletic Therapy / Performance Coach clients are scheduled for retests every three months.
- Responsible for ensuring that training methods and techniques conform to standardized Club training practices and training plans are tailored to reflect the personal goals, limitations and health concerns of each Athletic Therapy / Performance Coach client.
- Provides appropriate treatment for clients based on their needs, goals and preferences. Evaluates and adjusts treatment plans and personal training programs, as needed.
What type of experience should you have?

- Undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Science, or a related field
- A Personal Training Certification along with certification as an Athletic Therapist through the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) is required.
Additional certifications or workshops related to health, wellness and fitness are strongly preferred.
- 2 plus years related Athletic Therapy and / or Personal Training experience is required.
- 1 plus years sales experience an asset.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of injuries, disease, nutrition and any conditions that may affect ones ability to perform exercise, is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of athletic therapy and the prevention, assessment, and treatment of athletic injuries.
- Successful completion of a nationally recognized Personal Training Certification is required. Successful completion of additional health and nutrition certification programs an asset.
