BMW Toronto is actively seeking a 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Technician for a full time position.
What we Offer :
Job Function : The responsibility of an Apprentice Technician is to assist the technicians in performing vehicle repairs and maintenance work in accordance of all dealer and factory standards, under the supervision of a licensed Technician.
Specific Responsibilities :
- Under the supervision of a licensed Technician, assist in diagnose, repair, and service vehicle to the accepted quality standards
- Under the supervision of a licensed Technician, examine vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
- Advise Technician or service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised
- Communicate with service team and the Parts Department to obtain needed parts. Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by customer
- Ensure customers’ vehicles are returned clean
- Account for all dealership-owned tools at all times
- Achieve the required level of performance dictated by shop objectives
- Produce quality work that shows pride of workmanship
- Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner
- Participate in training and meetings as required; keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
- Report any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare or integrity of the dealership, its personnel or customers, maintain a clean work environment.

Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, with strong attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated team player.Proactive and willing to take initiative.
