Site Geologist

The Site Geologist will play a key role in integrating geological expertise into largescale urban infrastructure construction. This position involves overseeing field operations such as secant pile drilling opencut excavations and NATM / SEM tunneling while performing detailed geological mapping and bedrock assessments.

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical engineers designers project managers and contractors this role will ensure geological conditions are accurately interpreted risks are effectively managed and project requirements are met with technical precision and operational efficiency.

The salary range for this position is $90000 CAD - $110000 CAD plus additional benefits.

Key Responsibilities :

Geological Oversight & Field Operations

• Conduct geological face mapping during opencut and SEM excavations in soil and bedrock.
• Apply structural geology expertise to evaluate joint features ground conditions and support classes (RMR GSI Q Barton value).
• Identify and recommend appropriate rock support measures to ensure stability of the exposed rock face.
• Support NATM / SEM tunneling activities including participation in PermittoTunnel meetings.
