Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location : 530 West Broadway, Vancouver BC, Canada Core hours : Monday to Friday from 8am 4 : 30pm PST This position is required to be onsite 5 days a week Role Summary As the Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will work closely with the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operations of two Vancouver-based locations - a 15,000 sq.

ft. office space and a 24,000 sq. ft. warehouse. In this role, you will conduct repairs and maintenance, meet with contractors and vendors, and troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Reporting to the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will also liaise regularly with the Office Services Team and Director of Operational Excellence.

Responsibilities Respond to assigned maintenance requests through the Facilities ticketing system and report on completed requests With the direction of the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician, conduct plumbing, electrical, furniture, painting, and drywall repairs Perform scheduled, preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance as required Maintain and ensure the proper operations of the electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire / life / safety components at each Eminence location and conduct building walkthroughs to identify general corrective maintenance Along with the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician, respond to after-hours emergency calls and carry the Facilities cell phone Build and maintain strong relationships with our vendors , ensure tasks are complete, and report progress to the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician Ensure janitorial services are maintained and daily cleaning responsibilities are carried out in accordance with checklists and agreements Assist the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician in ensuring waste removal services are conducted as scheduled Participate in the Health and Safety Committee to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Support the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician with the operation of security and building systems Physical Requirement Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
