Vice President of Software Engineering

We’re a Toronto Insurtech start‑up modernizing data for the globalP&C Re / Insurance market. Post‑MVP and raising our pre‑seed, we need a senior engineer who can ship fast and own features end‑to‑end. Collectively, our team, advisors, and investors have held executive roles at major global insurers and at leading companies including SpaceX, Google, Snowflake, Salesforce, Citadel, Blackstone, and KKR.

What You’ll Do

• Build React(TypeScript) front‑ends and SpringBoot(Java17) micro‑services on AWS
• Drive features from design to production, including tests and CI / CD
• Optimise data pipelines (PostgreSQL+Supabase) for scale, performance, and SOC2 compliance
• Collaborate closely with founders and data science to productionise ML models
• Shape our engineering culture and roadmap
