Job Description
Our Energy and Process subsector supports clients worldwide across upstream, midstream, and downstream oil & gas activities and energy transition markets. We design engineering and environmental services that contribute to climate adaptation and mitigation, protect water and marine resources, and support low‑carbon solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and estimate design engineering effort from project conception to issuance of drawings and specifications for construction.
- Assist in proposal development and preparation of cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and project design elements.
- Develop project strategy to identify early key issues and achieve quality, schedule, and cost goals.
- Interpret project specifications and scope for all engineering disciplines.
- Review and approve all designs to ensure conformity with specifications, scope, company practices, and sound engineering practices.
- Coordinate discipline deliverables and update engineering control documents.
- Monitor design changes, contract extras, and support change orders.
- Serve as the main technical contact with the client.
- Make recommendations on highly technical and complex aspects of projects.
- Complete feasibility studies and technical report writing.
- Co‑coach, mentor, and mentor junior and other engineers.
- Provide professional designation on the projects you lead.
- Develop technical drawings and deliverables such as P&IDs, Line Lists, DBMs, and authentication of deliverables.
- Create Scope of Work or Specifications for Mechanical Packaged Equipment.
- Maintain quality control and assurance on projects.
- Review the work of others.
What you’ll bring
Post‑Graduate in Engineering.P.Eng. or P.Tech. designation.10–15 years of experience in an EPCM environment within the energy industry with 7–10 years direct project engineering experience.At least 2 years experience as a Project Lead dealing directly with clients and project stakeholders.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; main client contact.Experience coordinating meetings, creating project status reports, and interacting with diverse stakeholders.Ability to deliver high‑quality work under competing priorities and strict deadlines.Independent project leadership.Strong prioritisation, adaptability, and focus in a dynamic environment.Design optimisation and technical guidance skills.Compliance with client and corporate procedures.Sensitivity and discretion with confidential information.Salary
Salary range (British Columbia) : $113,500 – $156,000. Final salary awarded may vary based on education, experience, location, performance, and business needs.
