Job descriptionJOB TITLE Lead Fullstack Engineering (Java / JavaScript) SALARY : £90,440-127,680 per annumEdinburgh, Halifax HOURS : Full-time – 35 hours per week WORKING PATTERN : Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our offices stated above. As we continue to invest in our people, platforms, and products, we’re looking for talented Lead F ullstack Software Engineering to help us build scalable, secure, and customer-centric solutions.You’ll join a collaborative, agile environment where you’ll leading engineering teams empowering them to design and develop both frontend and backend WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING As a Lead Senior Software Engineering, you’ll : Inspire and guide engineering teams , empowering them to design, build, test, and deploy modular, cloud-native applications and APIs. Champion cross-functional collaboration , working closely with Product Owners, Architects, Quality Engineers, and executive stakeholders to align technical delivery with strategic goals. Drive architectural decisions and technical governance , ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. Integrate seamlessly with internal systems and third-party APIs , delivering smooth and intuitive user experiences. Shape engineering strategy and innovation , influencing the future direction of our platforms, practices, and ways of working. LOCATION(S) : components of modern applications. You’ll work with cloud-native technologies, microservices, and CI / CD pipelines to deliver high-quality software that makes a real difference.To help us understand how you might contribute to our team, please highlight any relevant experience with the following skills and technologies in your application : Leadership Experience Proven ability to lead and grow engineering teams, shape technical strategy, and influence cross-functional collaboration. Proven hands-on experience with Java , including designing and implementing RESTful APIs that support scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures. Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot and Node.js is beneficial. Strong proficiency inExperience with frameworks and libraries such as React,Next.js,Redux,Vue.js , or Angular is highly desirable. Experience with CI / CD tools such asGitHub Actions,Jenkins, orHarness. Familiarity withDockerfor containerization andKubernetesfor orchestration. Exposure to cloud platforms —Google Cloud Platform (GCP)preferred,
butAWSorAzureexperience is also welcome. Experience with automated testing tools likeJest,Cypress, orPact.
