Laboratory Technician Environmental Pre-processing

As a Laboratory Technician, your responsibilities are :

To provide general support in the pre-processing of samples and perform certain analysis

• General lab support including sort and distribute, pre-processing of samples, weighing and analysis.
• Ensure that cross contamination / labeling between samples and other materials does not occur.
• Use summary reports to plan and organize work.
• Prioritize jobs according to Rush and client specific deadlines.
• Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations.
• Follow SAIL and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
• Keep their work area clean, neat and organized.
• Provide support to other members of the section.
• Retrieve samples required for reworks or customer / lab requests.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.

You are an ideal Laboratory technician if you have Minimu Requirements :

• You possess a College Diploma.
• You have basic computer skills.
• You have a positive outlook with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• You possess good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills.
• You are able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• You are detail-oriented and possess record keeping skills.
• You learn quickly.
• You are able to adapt to a changing environment.
• You are able to lift and carry up to 40lbs.

All candidates must be flexible to any shift changes as well as weekends
