If you have experience as a production supervisor, we have an exciting opportunity for you! You'll be able to work alongside a team in a cutting-edge manufacturing plant located in Milton. This is a permanent position, perfect for someone who values a clean working environment and a reputable company. The plant is experiencing growth and is very busy at the moment, so you'll have the chance to contribute to the team's success. The job is on the day shift and is ideal for those looking for a medium-sized manufacturing plant. This position is ideal for someone who is a supervisor in a mechanic shop or dealership.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Supervise daily paint shop operations, including surface preparation, priming, painting, curing, and final finishing

Lead, train, and motivate paint technicians to meet production targets and quality standards

Ensure all paint work meets Wilcox Bodies Limited quality specifications and customer requirements

Plan and assign work based on production schedules, priorities, and manpower availability

Monitor paint application techniques, material usage, and equipment performance to minimize waste and rework

Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations, including proper handling of paints, solvents, and hazardous materials

Conduct regular inspections and quality checks; address defects and implement corrective actions

Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processes

Maintain accurate records related to production output, material usage, and safety compliance

Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and process optimization

Assist with performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as required

Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in industrial painting is an asset

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in industrial or automotive painting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Strong knowledge of paint systems, coatings, surface preparation, and finishing techniques

Experience with spray booths, curing systems, and paint mixing processes

Familiarity with workplace safety standards and environmental regulations

Ability to read and interpret production drawings and specifications
