RESPONSIBILITIES :
Supervise daily paint shop operations, including surface preparation, priming, painting, curing, and final finishingLead, train, and motivate paint technicians to meet production targets and quality standardsEnsure all paint work meets Wilcox Bodies Limited quality specifications and customer requirementsPlan and assign work based on production schedules, priorities, and manpower availabilityMonitor paint application techniques, material usage, and equipment performance to minimize waste and reworkEnforce health, safety, and environmental regulations, including proper handling of paints, solvents, and hazardous materialsConduct regular inspections and quality checks; address defects and implement corrective actionsCoordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processesMaintain accurate records related to production output, material usage, and safety complianceSupport continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and process optimizationAssist with performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as requiredOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in industrial painting is an assetMinimum 5-7 years of experience in industrial or automotive painting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleStrong knowledge of paint systems, coatings, surface preparation, and finishing techniquesExperience with spray booths, curing systems, and paint mixing processesFamiliarity with workplace safety standards and environmental regulationsAbility to read and interpret production drawings and specifications#INDSTRIVEON
