Personal Support Worker

The PSW will provide personal care, companionship, and assistance with activities of daily living to clients who require support at home. You will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure each person receives dignified, respectful, and individualized care.

Key Responsibilities.

• Assist clients with personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).

• Support mobility and safe transfers using proper techniques and equipment.

• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed.

• Provide companionship, emotional support, and social interaction.

• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry and tidying living areas.

• Observe and report any changes in client condition to the supervisor or nurse

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans.

Requirements

• Must be a certified Personal Support Worker (PSW)

• Valid CPR & First Aid Certification.

• Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check.

• Proof of up-to-date immunizations (TB test, COVID-19, etc.).

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes and facilities.

• Ability to work independently with professionalism and compassion.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
