Counter Sales Associate

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Counter Sales Associate for our client in Scarborough, ON. This opportunity is ideal for a customer-focused professional with experience in the electrical industry who enjoys building relationships, providing product solutions, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced retail and distribution environment.

• Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

• Location: Scarborough, ON

• Shift: 7:30am - 4:30pm

• Job type: Temporary to permanent | Full-time | 6-month contract

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to walk-in, phone, and email customers

• Process sales orders, inquiries, and quotations accurately and efficiently

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing product recommendations

• Confirm product availability and suggest alternative solutions when required

• Follow up on quotations to maximize sales opportunities and customer satisfaction

• Assist customers with e-commerce inquiries and online ordering support

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment

• Maintain product knowledge and stay informed about industry trends and inventory availability

• Support Branch operations and contribute to a positive team environment

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of counter sales experience within the electrical industry

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities

• Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Computer proficiency and experience working with business systems

• Experience with AS400 is considered an asset

• Electrical apprenticeship experience is considered an advantage

• Product knowledge of electrical supplies and components is highly desirable

• Team-oriented mindset with a positive and professional attitude

• Customer-focused and solution-driven approach

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Passion for sales and delivering outstanding customer experiences

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
