QE Lead - API Testing

We are hiring for a QE Lead API Testing. This role focuses on leading Quality Engineering initiatives, API automation, and AI-enabled testing practices across enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on API testing expertise and experience building scalable automation frameworks from scratch.

What you bring

• Strong experience testing REST APIs, SOAP services, microservices, and event-driven architectures

• Expertise in Postman, Newman, REST Assured, Karate, ReadyAPI, SoapUI, and Swagger/OpenAPI

• Proven experience building API automation frameworks from the ground up

• Strong understanding of API lifecycle management and contract validation

• Experience with functional, integration, regression, negative, end-to-end, and security testing

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, continuous testing, and shift-left practices

• Experience defining QE strategy, automation roadmaps, testing standards, and quality metrics

• Strong leadership, collaboration, mentoring, and root cause analysis skills

What you'll do

• Lead Quality Engineering across multiple programs and Agile teams

• Define QE strategy, automation roadmaps, and quality governance

• Build reusable API automation frameworks, components, and reporting utilities

• Review requirements, API contracts, and architecture to ensure test coverage

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

• Track automation coverage, defect leakage, release readiness, and quality KPIs

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage quality risks

• Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive improvements
