Senior.Net Developer

Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, .NET Core, C#, MVC, Entity Framework, ReactJS, and Azure DevOps to support a major public sector modernization initiative.

The successful candidate will contribute to the Victim Notification System (VNS) Modernization Project, focusing on SaaS solution integration, secure application development, database management, testing, deployment, and cloud-based architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web and desktop applications using Microsoft Azure and .NET technologies.

• Develop full-stack applications using .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

• Design and implement Azure cloud solutions using Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Logic Apps.

• Support integration between the Victim Notification System (VNS), vendor SaaS platforms, and the Offender Tracking Information System (OTIS).

• Design, develop, optimize, and maintain Azure SQL databases, including data modeling, migration, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated builds, testing, and deployments.

• Develop APIs, web services, and integration components to support enterprise applications.

• Participate in code reviews, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), performance testing, and defect resolution.

• Work with ministry stakeholders, SaaS vendors, infrastructure teams, and security specialists to deliver technical solutions.

• Ensure compliance with Government of Ontario IT standards, security, privacy, accessibility, and architectural best practices.

• Develop technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience developing and maintaining secure, stable, and scalable web and desktop applications using Microsoft Azure and .NET technologies.

• Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

• Demonstrated experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and cloud-based application implementation.

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Logic Apps.

• Strong experience implementing DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including automated builds, testing, and deployment.

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, modeling, configuring, and maintaining database management systems.

• Experience in data modeling, reporting, and dashboard development.

• Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and technical partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a Software Developer within the Ontario Public Service (OPS) or Justice Technology Services (JTS), preferably within the last three years.

• Experience integrating SaaS platforms with enterprise applications and legacy systems.

• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud architecture and enterprise solution design.

• Experience with database security, backup and recovery, data masking, and performance optimization.

• Familiarity with government IT governance, accessibility, and security standards.
