MinimumQualifications
Education : Graduate of an accredited school of RadiologyTechnology.
Licenses / Certifications :
- Certifiedin Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Currentlicense or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)required.
- Registered Radiology Technologist bythe American Registry of Radiologic Technologists(ARRTR).
Experience / Knowledge / Skills :
Ability tolift and / or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in orderto perform jobfunctions.
PrincipalAccountabilities
- Performsspecial / invasive radiology procedures on patients ensuringcompliance with all radiation safety procedures : Prepares patientsfor exam explains procedure administers contrast when necessarypositions patients for the exam selects appropriate imagingtechniques and ensures technical quality of theimages.
- Enters and monitors patientdata.
- Performs quality assurance on radiologyequipment. May assist with initial and renewal application for ACRand other accreditation.
- Identifies and reportsany accidents complaints or equipment malfunction to departmentmanagement.
- Takes emergency call within thedepartment.
- Ensures safe care to patients staffand visitors; adheres to all our policies procedures and standardswithin budgetary specifications including time management supplymanagement productivity and quality ofservice.
- Promotes individual professionalgrowth and development by meeting requirements formandatory / continuing education and skills competency;
supportsdepartmentbased goals which contribute to the success of theorganization; serves as preceptor mentor and resource to lessexperienced staff.
