Lab Informaticist, Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine
Position : Lab Informaticist
Location : Remote
Duration : Months Contract
Responsibilities :
- Recent and relevant experience as a Lab Informaticist in Cerner Transfusion Medicine design and builds.
- Mandatory Ambulatory experience.
- Relevant Cerner Transfusion Medicine experience in Design and implementation within PathNet.
- Engage with clinical staff and providers professionally to elicit information and requirements.
- Support workflow mapping and functional design and testing within PathNet.
Transfusion Medicine Expertise :
- Awareness of Transfusion Medicine workflows.
- Basis in Transfusion Medicine and related guidelines and standards (, Choosing Wisely, PCBO, CBS, FACT, etc).
- Knowledge of all aspects of the Transfusion Medicine service (, patient assessment, ordering, dispensing, administration, reactions).
Documentation and Testing :
- Work with and develop / complete DCWs and custom requirement gathering documentation.
- Create and execute functional, integrated, and regression test scripts for lab workflows and PathNet tools.
Software Proficiency :
Proficient use of Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications :
- Must work PST Time and be available full-time hours.
- Experience working with CST Project in Vancouver, BC, is a preferred asset but not required.
