Senior Electrical Estimator

Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Senior Electrical Estimator in Richmond Hill, ON for a direct hire opportunity with an established organization supporting electrical construction projects across industrial, commercial, institutional, infrastructure, and facility environments.

This role is ideal for an experienced electrical estimating professional who can manage complex bids from early conceptual planning through tender and construction pricing. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and senior estimating leadership to prepare accurate, competitive, and well-supported estimates.

Key Responsibilities

- Review tender documents, RFQs, specifications, drawings, schedules, bonding, insurance, and submission requirements to ensure complete bid compliance.
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates, including take-offs, material pricing, labor hours, equipment, job expenses, breakout pricing, and scope clarifications.
- Analyze design documents, identify gaps or ambiguities, issue RFIs, and develop installation strategies that support competitive and accurate bids.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes, recommend vendors, prepare lead letters, and support value engineering opportunities.
- Maintain estimating software databases, pricing records, and organized bid documentation while managing multiple deadlines.
- Present estimates to clients, designers, and internal stakeholders, participate in site walkthroughs and design meetings, and provide review or mentoring support when needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $100,000 to $150,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: Richmond Hill, ON.
- Travel: 0 percent to 20 percent may be required.
- Working conditions may include site visits with walking or standing for long periods, high noise levels, and outdoor weather conditions depending on the season.
