We are hiring licensed over head crane operators for our manufacturing client in Vaughan, ON. The role requires a strong understanding of crane operations, safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site.
Duties
- Operate cranes to lift, move, and position loads as required by project specifications.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on cranes to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment.
- Communicate effectively with ground personnel using hand signals or radio communication.
- Perform routine maintenance on cranes to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of crane operations and any incidents that occur during operation.
- Assist in rigging loads and ensuring proper balance before lifting.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements
- Valid crane operator certification / license is a must.
- Proven experience operating over head crane.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to crane operation.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork on-site.
- Physical stamina to perform duties that may involve standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
