Come join us

As a Data Engineering Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering modern data platform solutions while guiding teams and clients through architecture, design, and implementation decisions. You will partner closely with solution architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to ensure successful project outcomes and high-quality delivery.

This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy balancing hands-on technical leadership with client engagement, mentoring, and solution ownership.

You'll have access to Avanade's global network of experts, continuous learning opportunities, and early access to Microsoft's latest technologies while helping clients unlock the full value of their data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade Data Engineering, analytics, and AI platform solutions using Microsoft Azure, Fabric, and Databricks technologies.
  • Own technical solution design for project workstreams and ensure alignment with architecture, security, governance, and business requirements.
  • Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to understand business objectives, facilitate requirements discussions, and guide technical decision-making.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Lead development teams and coordinate activities across engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders.
  • Drive best practices for data engineering, platform modernization, data quality, governance, performance optimization, and operational support.
  • Contribute to solution estimation, delivery planning, risk identification, and project execution activities.
  • Support client workshops, architecture reviews, and solution presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Mentor consultants and junior team members while fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay current with emerging Microsoft technologies and help clients evaluate opportunities across analytics, AI, real-time intelligence, and modern data platform capabilities.
