Must have skills:
1. Architecture & Technical Direction
- 8–10+ years of software engineering experience with significant responsibility for technical direction and solution architecture.
- Proven ability to define technical vision and architectural direction for large-scale projects.
- Strong project architecture and solution-design experience across complex, customer-facing applications.
- Deep understanding of software architecture patterns, distributed systems, APIs, integrations, data flows and design principles.
- Experience owning technical strategy and establishing engineering best practices across multiple teams or product areas.
2. Hands-On Modern Engineering + AWS
- Strong, language-agnostic full-stack engineering foundation.
- Must be comfortable working within an environment using TypeScript, Node.js and Next.js.
- Strong AWS experience is mandatory.
- Has remained technically hands-on: architecture/design, prototyping, code reviews, debugging and solving complex engineering problems.
- Technology-agnostic mindset — someone who selects technology based on the problem rather than being tied to one language/framework.
3. AI + Technology Adoption
- Practical experience incorporating AI into modern software engineering environments.
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering for areas such as coding, testing, code reviews, documentation, requirements analysis or technical decision support.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate, introduce and drive adoption of new technologies.
- Understands appropriate AI guardrails around security, privacy, verification and software quality.
