Technical Project Manager - AI

Responsibilities

Data & Analytics Program Delivery: Steer end-to-end implementation of enterprise data platforms, semantic architecture, operational reporting, and data governance controls (including lineage, access management, and PII protections).

Enterprise ERP & Financial Transformation: Direct integration streams and major functional enhancements connecting enterprise cloud financial modules with core operational and banking systems; govern SIT, UAT, cutover plans, and post-launch stabilization.

AI-Enabled SDLC Advancement: Lead initiatives aimed at embedding generative AI into software development workflows to enhance test automation, code reviews, defect categorization, and release management.

Agile & Hybrid Project Execution: Manage cross-functional Scrum squads while maintaining integrated master schedules; oversee Jira environments (custom workflows, JQL reporting, and automated metrics) to ensure seamless delivery rhythm.

Financial Oversight & Governance: Maintain direct accountability for project funds up to $2M, managing burn rates, variance analysis, risk mitigation (RAID logs), steering committee presentations, and third-party vendor performance.

Qualifications
Experience: 7 to 12+ years leading complex technical initiatives within financial services (Banking, Insurance, or Reinsurance mandatory).

Core Systems Knowledge: Demonstrated history delivering large-scale data platforms alongside core cloud financial/ERP systems and enterprise integration patterns.

Agile Leadership: Proven mastery of hybrid delivery frameworks, combining iterative Agile practices with formal stage-gate release processes.

Tooling Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of Jira administration, advanced JQL reporting, and automated workflow tracking.

Financial Management: Direct experience tracking and controlling project/program budgets up to $2M.

Domain Tools (Nice to Have): Hands-on background with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/Azure/GCP), ELT pipelines, enterprise data catalogs, and modern AI/GenAI execution patterns (RAG, prompt management).

Certifications (Nice to Have): PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, CSM, or PSM.

Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
