Senior Payroll Administrator

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Administrator to join our clients payroll team. Serving as a key technical resource, and right hand to the payroll manager you will lead high-volume, full-cycle payroll processing, manage complex adjustments, drive T4 year-end balancing, and ensure complete compliance across all operations.

Compensation: $82,000 – $92,000 / year (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Payroll Execution: Lead and process complex, high-volume payroll for salaried and hourly employees, ensuring absolute accuracy and adherence to strict pay deadlines.
System Administration & Configuration: Serve as a key administrator for Dayforce, managing system configurations, troubleshooting discrepancies, and optimizing workflows.
Year-End & Compliance: Direct year-end balancing procedures, T4/T4A preparation, government remittances, filings, and audit support.
Payroll Accounting & Reporting: Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and generate custom financial reports for senior leadership.
Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex payroll inquiries and discrepancies promptly with a proactive, "fix-it-now" mindset.

Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience in a medium-to-large organization.
Certification: Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation required
Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Dayforce (configuration experience strongly preferred) and intermediate-to-advanced MS Excel.
Industry Knowledge: Hospitality or restaurant industry experience with exposure to tip processing/reporting is considered a strong asset.
