What is the Opportunity?
Director, Procurement IT and will lead the delivery for IT procurement portfolio.
What will you do?
- Lead the delivery for the Procurement to Pay program for procurement related work
- Lead the delivery of complex application development projects, ensuring alignment with client needs and business strategies focused on technology innovation. Overseeing the entire project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and delivery, while ensuring projects meet business requirements and timelines.
- Contribute to the overall technology procurement strategy, identify opportunities for innovation and improvement, and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies.
- Provide guidance on technical design, architecture, and implementation of procurement solutions, including customization, integration, and security - ensuring high standards and quality of technical work.
- Responsible for a portfolio of work including modernization, annual enhancements, and re-design initiatives that support the programs at RBC.
- Collaborate with Executive business partners, operational partners and vendors to understand business priorities and develop a road map to deliver.
- Provide direction, motivation, and development for management teams and key staff, ensuring high performance.
- Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of procurement IT applications.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have:
- 5+ years working in procurement technologies, 15+ years professional technology experience leading software development teams and managing complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities
- Prior experience working with engineering teams to Data, AI and ML,
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, data engineering and related technologies.
- Expertise in OCP (Red Hat OpenShift) including deployment, networking, CI/CD integration, and cluster operations.
- Strong experience with on-prem technologies and Cloud (AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience in partnering with business executives to collaborate on vision & report on progress. Experience managing a development team (with onshore & offshore resources) and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proven leadership skills and direct people management experience (5+ years)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with key stakeholders and vendors
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and find creative solutions and to communicate those in both technical and non-technical audience, Enterprise organizational awareness
Nice to have:
- Experience leading RBC technology team
- strong understanding of technology and/or financial services industry.
- Knowledge of Incentive Comp programs and concepts
