Job description

NATURE DU TRAVAIL ET RESPONSABILITÉS GÉNÉRALES

Le travailleur (se) en établissement dans les écoles (TÉÉ) accompagne les élèves immigrants et leurs familles dans leur parcours d'établissement en facilitant leur compréhension du système scolaire, leur accès aux ressources communautaires et leur pleine participation à la vie scolaire. En collaboration avec les directions d'école, le personnel scolaire et les partenaires communautaires, cette personne contribue à créer un environnement accueillant, inclusif et propice à la réussite de tous.Principales tâches et responsabilités :

  • Accueillir les élèves nouvellement arrivés et leurs familles dès leur inscription au sein du conseil scolaire.
  • Évaluer les besoins des familles et élaborer, avec elles, un plan d'accompagnement adapté à leur réalité.
  • Fournir de l'information sur le système d'éducation albertain, les services du conseil scolaire et les ressources disponibles dans la communauté.
  • Orienter les familles vers les services appropriés (santé, établissement, emploi, logement, soutien psychosocial, services gouvernementaux, etc.).
  • Offrir un accompagnement individuel et assurer un suivi régulier afin de soutenir l'intégration des élèves et de leur famille.
  • Concevoir et animer des ateliers, séances d'information et activités portant notamment sur l'établissement, la réussite scolaire, le bien-être et la participation des parents.
  • Favoriser une communication efficace entre les familles, les écoles et les partenaires communautaires en tenant compte des réalités culturelles et linguistiques.
  • Collaborer avec les directions d'école, les enseignants, les conseillers scolaires et les équipes multidisciplinaires afin de soutenir la réussite éducative des élèves.
  • Développer et entretenir des partenariats avec les organismes communautaires offrant des services aux personnes immigrantes.
  • Participer aux activités de promotion des services d'établissement auprès des écoles et de la communauté.
  • Assurer une tenue de dossiers rigoureuse, produire les rapports requis et contribuer à la collecte de données liées au programme.

EXIGENCES DU POSTE

  • Diplôme universitaire ou collégial dans un domaine pertinent (travail social, psychologie, éducation, relations interculturelles, développement communautaire ou domaine connexe).
  • Expérience pertinente en établissement, en intervention communautaire, en milieu scolaire ou auprès de personnes immigrantes.
  • Excellente maîtrise du français à l'oral et à l'écrit.
  • Bonne connaissance de l'anglais; la maîtrise d'autres langues constitue un atout.
  • Bonne connaissance des réalités vécues par les nouveaux arrivants et des enjeux liés à l'immigration et à l'intégration.
  • Maîtrise des outils informatiques courants.
  • Permis de conduire valide et accès à un véhicule pour les déplacements, selon les besoins.
  • Excellentes habiletés en communication et en relations interpersonnelles.
  • Sens de l'écoute, empathie et approche centrée sur les besoins des familles.
  • Capacité à travailler de façon autonome tout en collaborant efficacement avec une équipe multidisciplinaire.
  • Esprit d'initiative et capacité à gérer plusieurs dossiers simultanément.
  • Sens de l'organisation et rigueur administrative.
  • Capacité d'adaptation dans un environnement dynamique.
  • Sensibilité interculturelle et engagement envers l'équité, la diversité et l'inclusion.
