Payroll & Benefits Specialist

About the Opportunity

· Processing bi-weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees for several entities in ADP Work Force Now, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations

· Onboarding and offboarding employees in ADP, Pension Plan (HOOPP) and Health Insurance Plan (Blue Cross)

· Issuing ROEs on terminations

· Administer Blue Cross and HOOPP and perform all necessary reconciliations with company records

· Calculate all necessary adjustments to payroll, Blue Cross and HOOPP for new hires and on terminations

· Prepare monthly WSIB filings as well as annual EHT, WSIB and Pension Plan reconciliations

· Issuing T4s and T4As

· Act as the point of contact for payroll and benefit related inquiries from employees and government agencies, resolving discrepancies and providing timely support

· Automate payroll related tasks and work with ADP on integration of payroll entries with Accounting software

· Assist with various compensation related Analysis and Budgeting

About You

· 3+ years of experience with processing hourly and salaried payroll

· Experience with benefits and pension plan administration (familiarity with HOOPP is an asset)

· PCP or close to

Nice to have:

· Strong understanding of Ontario payroll regulations, Employment Standards Act (ESA)

· WFN is a very nice to have

Pay Range

$35 - $40 per hour
