Responsibilities
• Perform manual order picking of products and inventory items according to paper pick sheets and order forms without RF scanning equipment.
• Safely lift, push, pull, move, and stack materials weighing up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
• Prepare items for shipping by sorting, packing, labeling, and placing stock onto pallets or staging areas accurately.
• Conduct general warehouse maintenance, ensuring aisles, workstations, and equipment remain clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Assist in loading and unloading inbound and outbound trucks, transport trailers, and containers using safe lifting techniques.
• Verify item quantities, part numbers, and product conditions during order assembly to maintain strict quality control.
• Operate material handling equipment, such as manual or electric pallet jacks, safely within busy warehouse aisles.
• Perform forklift operation and material transfer duties if certified or experienced, supporting broader warehouse workflow.
• Follow all health, safety, and operational regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.


Qualifications
• Previous experience working as a Heavy General Labour associate or order picker in a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated physical ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the work day.
• Comfortable working entirely with manual order picking systems without RF scanners.
• Must successfully complete a clear criminal background check prior to starting work.
• Previous forklift experience or operating certification is considered a strong asset.
• Reliable transportation to and from the job facility in Hamilton, ON for a 7:00 AM start time.
• Steel-toed safety boots (CSA approved) are mandatory for all shifts.
• Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina required for continuous lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Proven order picking expertise with high precision and attention to detail.
• Sound knowledge of safe material handling principles and physical warehouse protocols.
• Excellent time management abilities to complete daily picking quotas and task objectives efficiently.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with supervisors, team leads, and fellow general labourers.
• Practical familiarity with inventory management practices in a high-volume warehouse or distribution setting.
