What is the opportunity?

Are you a talented, creative and results-driven professional who thrives on delivering high-performing applications for Capital Markets and Wealth Management Compliance? Come join us! The Compliance Technology team is responsible for supporting our global Compliance partners to provide Trade Surveillance and Know-Your-Employee solutions.

Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

We believe that innovation should drive all that we do, in challenging assumptions and being big and bold with our ideas. We support our people in developing the technical, business and professional skills needed to be successful. You will work with partners from across the company, participate in networking events, and have access to a wide variety of supports including mentorship. You will work directly with leaders who believe in celebrating successes and sharing learnings with other teams to promote progress.

What will you do?

In this role, you are responsible for the following:

  • Release Coordination – Lead end-to-end release processes for the Surveillance portfolio; coordinate deployments across multiple environments for 8+ project teams
  • Stakeholder Management – Serve as primary point of contact for release coordination; align development, QA, production support, and business teams on scope, timing, dependencies, and risks
  • Cross-functional Leadership – Bridge communication between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure smooth, successful releases
  • User Acceptance Testing – Plan and oversee UAT activities; ensure defects are logged, tracked, and resolved efficiently
  • Release Planning & Scheduling – Develop and maintain release schedules and calendars; establish clear cutoff dates for development, QA, and UAT phases
  • Risk & Issue Management – Identify, triage, and monitor risks and blockers; maintain visibility on current and upcoming release health
  • Reporting & Documentation – Produce regular release status reports and maintain comprehensive release documentation; ensure stakeholder alignment on schedules and plans

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Release Management Experience – 3+ years in release management or similar software delivery coordination role
  • Project Coordination – Proven ability to manage complex, multi-team projects with competing priorities
  • Stakeholder Management – Strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience aligning diverse teams and managing expectations
  • Process Documentation – Ability to create, maintain, and communicate clear processes and documentation
  • Attention to Detail – Meticulous tracking of schedules, dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Problem-Solving – Capability to identify blockers and develop solutions collaboratively
  • Time Management – Expertise in managing tight deadlines and release windows

What’s in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable

  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities

  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact

  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
