Job Description

This position offers 100 hours per month, starting on December 31st.

Be part of a collaborative team, passionate about senior nutrition and food service.

Seasons Care is hiring passionate Registered Dietitians to support the nutritional health and well-being of Seniors in Long-Term Care. With decades of experience in Long-Term Care, we work together every day to make meaningful differences in the lives of Residents across Canada. We believe in putting food and people first— for our Residents and our team.

When you join Seasons Care, you become part of a network of professionals who are passionate about leading with heart and evidence. You'll be joining a supportive environment where:

  • Your voice is heard and valued
  • Work-life balance is respected and prioritized
  • Professional development is encouraged
  • Teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration are part of our everyday approach
  • We care — not just for Residents, but for one another

Your day is varied, structured, and rooted in collaboration. As an RD working in LTC, you will:

  • Manage daily clinical priorities, including referrals, weight monitoring, RAI assessments, and new Resident admissions
  • Collaborate closely with the Nutrition Manager and interdisciplinary Care Teams; participate in morning huddles where applicable
  • Review Resident charts and data (weights, intake, labs, medications, diagnoses, and health changes) to assess nutrition risk
  • Complete nutrition assessments, document findings, and follow up on care plans
  • Spend time in the dining room observing meals, engaging with Residents, and supporting consistent nutrition care with staff
  • Communicate with families and care teams; document and share nutrition updates and changes
  • Prepare for and participate in care conferences, PAC, CQI, and other Home‑based meetings
  • Occasionally support menu approvals, quality data collection, and organizational initiatives

This role provides a balanced blend of independent clinical practice, teamwork, and on‑site engagement across Homes.

Requirements

You are a dedicated, organized, and empathetic Registered Dietitian who brings clinical confidence and a Resident-first mindset to every Home you support. You thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy working independently, and value collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Whether you're counselling a Resident, mentoring dietary staff or reviewing a menu, you bring clarity, care and professionalism to everything you do.

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • A people-first approach with strong customer-service skills and a commitment to building respectful, trusting relationships
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and digital documentation
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Must provide proof of liability insurance, TB testing and vulnerable sector check
  • Travel may be required for certain positions

Seasons Care Dietitian Network is proud to accommodate individual needs in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), within our recruitment process. If you require accommodation at any time throughout the recruitment process, please let us know.

Seasons Care is a diverse and inclusive network. We encourage applicants from First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples, racialized persons and those who identify as LGBTQ+.

Join us in our mission to enhance lives through nutrition and quality care.
