Salesforce AI & Data Cloud Solutions Engineer

About the Role:

We're seeking a Salesforce AI & Data Cloud Solutions Engineer to modernize AGF’s CRM ecosystem through Data Cloud/Data360, Agentforce, automation, and advanced Salesforce capabilities.

This role will operate as the primary technical owner for assigned solutions, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and post-production support. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and taking accountability for end-to-end delivery.

Working across Salesforce, Data360, and Agentforce, this individual will help evolve Salesforce into an intelligent platform that delivers AI-powered workflows, actionable insights, intelligent automation, and productivity gains supported by trusted, governed data across Sales and Analytics use cases.

This role will enable relationship managers and sales teams to access proactive insights, reduce routine administration, trigger client and advisor workflows, support next-best-action recommendations, and embed AI into everyday sales processes.

This new position is ideal for a hands-on builder who combines Salesforce development expertise, strong data architecture skills, and curiosity for emerging AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Salesforce Data Cloud, AI & Agentforce

• Design and implement Salesforce Data360 solutions that unify CRM, transaction, portfolio, behavioural, and enterprise data into trusted customer profiles and Customer 360 views.

• Configure Data360 architecture, including ingestion, identity resolution, data modelling, harmonization, grounding, segmentation, activation and governance to support Agentforce, Tableau, and AI-powered use cases.

• Enable Agentforce, Tableau, and AI-powered use cases through scalable, governed, and reusable customer data foundations.

• Design and implement scalable Salesforce solutions using Flow, Apex, Lightning Web Components, APIs, and automation tools.

• Build and support Agentforce agents, custom actions, prompts, workflows, and AI-enabled business processes.

• Identify and automate manual business processes across Sales Cloud.

• Partner with business stakeholders to define and deliver high-value AI and automation use cases.

• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and independently manage solution delivery from concept through production deployment.

• Support Tableau Agent and emerging agentic analytics capabilities by enabling insight-to-action workflows in partnership with Tableau and analytics teams.

• Collaborate with enterprise data teams to integrate Salesforce with internal and external systems using APIs, middleware, and modern integration patterns.

• Develop reusable automation frameworks and technical standards.

• Optimize data models to support reporting, AI recommendations, analytics, and productivity tools.

• Troubleshoot complex issues involving data, integrations, automation, performance, and security.

• Establish governance, monitoring, and performance standards for AI-enabled solutions.

• Document architecture decisions, data models, and agent configurations to support an auditable platform.

What you Bring:

• 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, with strong Sales Cloud knowledge.

• Deep expertise with Flow Builder, including record-triggered, screen, auto-launched, and reusable flows, with strong debugging, error handling, and governance practices.

• Strong understanding of data architecture, including data modelling, schema design, ETL processes, large data volumes, data load and performance optimization.

• Exposure to Data Cloud (Data360), Agentforce, Salesforce AI capabilities, or comparable customer data and AI platforms, with demonstrated ability to learn and apply emerging technologies.

• Proven ability to independently design, develop, test, deploy, and support Salesforce solutions using Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components, APIs, and platform configuration.

• Hands-on SQL and SOQL experience for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Java or similar programming languages.

• Salesforce Platform Administration foundation, including user management, object and field configuration and security model architecture.

• Experience analyzing business processes and designing automation strategies that improve productivity, scalability, and user adoption.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on data accuracy, platform stability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

• Experience with Salesforce, Azure DevOps and release management tools.

• Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end solution delivery from requirements through deployment and operational support.

• Commitment to continuous learning and maintaining expertise in Salesforce and emerging platform technologies.

Strong Assets:

• 1+ years’ experience with Data Cloud/Data360, Agentforce, or other Salesforce AI capabilities.

• Salesforce certifications; Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I/II, Architect (path), Data Cloud Consultant, or Agentforce Specialist.

• Exposure to Tableau or other analytics platforms.

• Experience working in regulated environments with strong data governance, privacy, security, and audit requirements is an asset.

Compensation:

The anticipated compensation range for this role is $100,000 – $145,000 annually, which represents base salary and, where applicable, variable compensation components (e.g., annual bonus, commissions, etc.). Actual compensation will be determined based on many factors such as role location, candidate experience / qualifications, market conditions, and internal equity.
