Weare on the search for a Senior Manager of Internal Audit &Compliance to join our team based in our Vaughan office. Thiscritical role focuses on leading our SOX / Bill 198 Program effortsplaying a pivotal role in enhancing our governance risk managementand internal control frameworks.
The ideal candidate will driveimprovements in business operations and contribute to costreduction initiatives across thecompany.

- Directlycontributing to the planning documentation assessment andenhancement of our internal controls over financial reporting incompliance with SOX and Bill 198regulations.
- Offeringadvisory services managing investigations and executing specialprojects to bolster our compliance and operationalintegrity.
- Upholdingthe highest professional standards and methodologies in all auditand complianceactivities.
- Fosteringstrong communication channels across the organization ensuringcomprehensive education on internal control policies andpractices.
- Assistingthe business in aligning with accounting policies and IFRSstandards while also liaising with external auditors to supportinternal and external auditinitiatives.
- Leadingand developing a dedicated team of audit and complianceprofessionals ensuring highquality outcomes for allprojects.
Requirements
WhoYouAre :
Anadept professionalwith :
- Auniversity degree and a CPA (or equivalent)designation.
- Aminimum of 10 years experience in SOX / Bill 198 environments andinternal audit within largeorganizations.
- Comprehensiveknowledge of IFRS with exposure to USGAAP.
- Exceptionalanalytical verbal and written communicationskills.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite with experience in Great Plains CognosTrux or Tower systems considered anasset.
- Familiaritywith the Waste Management industry is aplus.
- Eligibilityto work and travel within Canada and theUS.
