Category Management Analyst for a leading global consumer packaged goods (CPG/FMCG) organization in North York, ON.
You will play a key part in driving category growth by transforming data into actionable insights that support commercial decision-making and marketplace execution. Working closely with Category Management, Channel Development, Sales, and Marketing teams, you will help optimize trade marketing strategies through business analytics, reporting, market intelligence, and category storytelling.

Responsibilities: Category & Market Insights - Support Category Management and Channel Development teams through recurring and ad hoc reporting
- Analyze data from multiple sources, including NielsenIQ, Numerator, retailer POS systems, and internal reporting tools
- Identify trends, business opportunities, and category performance insights
- Monitor competitive activity, promotional effectiveness, pricing strategies, and market dynamics
- Develop recommendations that support category growth and business objectives
Opportunity Identification & Category Development - Support category growth initiatives across key category fundamentals, including Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Pricing (DSMP)
- Assist in identifying whitespace opportunities and performance improvement initiatives
- Support category development projects and business reviews
Reporting & Analytics - Design, develop, automate, and maintain dashboards, reports, scorecards, and performance trackers
- Analyze business performance across multiple retail channels
- Generate insights that support strategic and operational decision-making
- Continuously improve reporting processes and data management practices
Presentation & Stakeholder Support - Partner with Category and Channel Development Managers to create compelling presentations and category reviews
- Develop customer-facing category selling stories supported by market and business insights
- Support internal and external business meetings with analytical and presentation materials
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Trade Marketing teams on key initiatives
Sales Support & Commercial Resources - Develop and maintain innovation and core business sell sheets
- Coordinate product samples and supporting materials for customer presentations
- Maintain sales resources and category information to ensure teams have access to current materials
- Support product launches and customer engagement initiatives
Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in Category Management, Trade Marketing, Sales Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related analytical role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform complex data into actionable business insights
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with NielsenIQ, Numerator, retailer POS data, or other syndicated data sources is considered an asset
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, scorecards, and performance analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience within the CPG/FMCG industry is considered a strong asset
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
