We seek a dynamic and innovative scholar whose research program and teaching interests complement and enhance our existing departmental strengths in clinical and counselling psychology. Applicants whose research focuses on any area of clinical and/or counselling psychology will be considered, but we are especially interested in candidates whose work engages with equity-deserving communities and contributes to inclusive, socially responsive scholarship grounded in principles of social justice, diversity, and decolonization. We also welcome scholars whose research explores innovative approaches to clinical and counselling psychology, including, but not limited to, the use of emerging technologies such as AI, digital mental health interventions, or other novel approaches to clinical and counselling practice. We encourage applications from candidates with clinical and research experience working with populations across the lifespan, as well as candidates who have teaching experience in psychological assessment and/or therapeutic interventions.

Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence, as demonstrated by a record of sustained high-impact contributions and publications in top-ranked and field relevant journals, the submitted research statement, presentations at significant conferences, awards and accolades, other noteworthy activities that contribute to the visibility and prominence of the discipline, and strong endorsements from referees.

Evidence of excellence in teaching will be provided through teaching accomplishments, the teaching dossier (including the required materials outlined below), and strong letters of reference.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be expected to sustain and lead innovative and independent research, and to maintain an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program. In addition, the successful candidate will be assigned a teaching and service load which includes graduate teaching and supervision, contributing to the growth and leadership of the Clinical and Counselling Psychology program, and participation in standard professional and administrative activities within the department and university.
