Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Machine Shop Technician - Boring Mill who will be reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor on the Weekend Day shift. As the Machine Shop Technician - Boring Mill you will produce aircraft parts to drawing while operating machines in the cell.

Work Location: Oakville Facility Ontario Canada

Shift Hours Weekend Day (Friday-Sunday) 6:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m.

What You Will Do

• Perform own manual set-ups by positioning and aligning tooling per set-up instructions using CNC programming language (G codes).
• Maintain tolerances by observing operation and making necessary machine offset adjustments cutter changes and self-inspection (OSV-Operator Self Verification).
• Document actions in support of quality logs communicate all discrepancies in machining to supervision and create Product Defect Sheets (PDS) as required.
• Perform work from set-up sheets manufacturing sheets and drawings.
• Support and promote continuous improvement 5S activities and Standard Work
• Development in the cell.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications We Require

• Typically; High school diploma and a minimum of 3 years of current Boring Mill machining experience and/or 5 Axis Machining experience
• Experience utilizing measuring equipment in support of quality requirements
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

Qualifications We Prefer

• Certificate of Qualification (C of Q)
• Verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner
• 5 Axis Machining experience

The salary range for this role is 61334 CAD 97190 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
