Growth Marketing Specialist

Position Summary

Fitness World is looking for a Growth Marketing Specialist to own the full-funnel consumer journey — from first touch through conversion and into member lifecycle. This role sits at the intersection of automation, campaign execution, and data: you'll build and optimize the systems that turn leads into members and members into advocates, across our 18 clubs. You'll work inside our CRM stack (Klaviyo, ABC Ignite, Trainerize) to design lead nurture flows, write, design and execute campaigns, and connect marketing activity to real club-level performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lifecycle & Automation

• Own and optimize automated email and SMS journeys across all lifecycle stages — lead nurture, enrollment offers, flash sales, onboarding, retention

• Build and deploy campaigns in Ignite Sales and Klaviyo, and map how they hand off to each other

• Troubleshoot and connect systems that don't talk to each other natively — using tools like Zapier to bridge gaps (e.g., Gravity Forms → Klaviyo → Ignite Sales)

• Continuously test and refine messaging, timing, and segmentation based on performance data

Copywriting & Creativity

• Own the brand voice across the funnel and write copy that inspires action, not just informs

• Write email, SMS, and landing page copy that adapts by lead stage and segment without losing a consistent voice

• Continuously push the boundaries — test new language, hooks, and formats to find what actually moves people at each stage of the journey

Website & Digital Presence

• Partner with external digital marketing and web development teams on conversion optimization and site maintenance

• Support FW mobile app content (challenges, perks, member communications)

Local Marketing & Launch Support

• Support new club presale and launch sequences end-to-end (landing pages, nurture, referral mechanics, launch-day execution)

• Build toolkits and rollout materials to support local club marketing efforts

AI & Tooling

• Explore and pilot AI tools to speed up campaign build, copy drafting, and reporting

• Recommend where AI can remove manual steps in our automation or content workflows, and help implement it

• Stay current on AI marketing tools relevant to CRM, lifecycle, and content work

Reporting & Insights

• Analyze funnel and campaign performance (conversion by stage, SMS/email performance, closing ratios) and catch data integrity issues before they mislead decisions

• Maintain performance reporting and turn it into recommendations, not just numbers

• Track competitive and industry trends

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 2–4+ years in growth, lifecycle, or performance marketing with hands-on CRM/automation ownership (Klaviyo, HubSpot, or similar)

• Comfort working across multiple systems that require manual reconciliation — you like finding where data breaks and fixing it

• Strong analytical instincts — you can read a conversion funnel and know which number is misleading you

• Excellent, precise written communication

• Bias toward execution: you'd rather ship the automation than write another strategy deck about it

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with fitness, membership, subscription, or multi-location retail businesses

• Zapier or similar integration tool experience

• Comfort analyzing dashboards and campaign data at a granular level

• Valid Class 5 driver's license and willingness to travel to club locations
