Senior Business Analyst

Duration: 12 Months

Work Model: 5 Days Onsite, Monday to Friday

Hours: 7.25 hours/day

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead and conduct business analysis activities for large-scale business and IT initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, stakeholder management, business case development, and solution assessment within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct business analysis activities to identify, assess, and document business problems, opportunities, and requirements.
• Develop business strategies, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and feasibility studies for business and IT initiatives.
• Perform business process modeling, use case modeling, data modeling, process flow analysis, and requirements elicitation.
• Define business rules, functional requirements, and non-functional requirements.
• Conduct gap analysis for vendor product upgrades, identifying impacts to business processes, configurations, reports, and integrations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and data providers to gather and validate requirements.
• Translate business requirements into epics, user stories, scenarios, and solution specifications.
• Create mockups and process documentation to support stakeholder engagement and solution design.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks/issues, recommend resolutions, and provide status reporting to project stakeholders.
• Develop and track performance measures related to business analysis activities.
• Ensure requirements traceability throughout project lifecycles, including changes, development, testing, and implementation.
• Support knowledge transfer activities and maintain project documentation as required.

Mandatory Qualifications

Business Analysis Experience

Minimum 7 years of experience in:

• Leading and conducting business analysis for complex business and technology initiatives.
• Documenting business requirements that enable technology solution design and implementation.
• Applying business process re‑engineering methodologies and identifying cost‑effective service delivery improvements.
• Developing business cases, feasibility studies, and cost‑benefit analyses.
• Performing:
• Business modeling
• Use case modeling
• Conceptual and logical data modeling
• Process and data flow modeling
• Business rules analysis
• Conducting gap analysis for software/vendor release upgrades.
• Tracking project progress and resolving business‑related issues.
• Developing business analysis metrics and performance measures.
• Managing evolving requirements and maintaining full requirements traceability.

Knowledge & Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in business‑focused projects with demonstrated expertise in:

• Business analysis across multiple project environments.
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Analytical problem‑solving and decision‑making.
• Awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Converting business requirements into:
• Epics
• Functional requirements
• Mockups and stakeholder review artifacts

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within public sector environments.
• Experience supporting mainframe or legacy system modernization initiatives.
• Experience working with cloud‑based technologies and platforms.
• Knowledge of large‑scale enterprise projects and governance processes.
• Experience supporting health‑sector or regulated‑industry programs is considered an asset.
