The CCO will be responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of a high-impact conservation strategy that aims to enhance biodiversity, ecological resilience, and reduce the impact of climatic disruptions. This role requires a leader with a minimum of 15 years' experience in conservation, including over 8 years in leadership, and a deep understanding of various conservation facets. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with Indigenous leaders and communities, particularly in the context of Indigenous-led conservation priorities. Key responsibilities for the CCO include overseeing a culture of accountability for measurable outcomes, providing guidance on conservation opportunities, and fostering a high-performing, collaborative team. The role demands exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a global network model. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in team management, a strong background in conservation, and a commitment to the core values of courage, integrity, respect, and collaboration. While not mandatory, proficiency in a language relevant to the areas where the company operates is considered an asset. The CCO will be expected to travel nationally and occasionally internationally, and a commitment to diversity and accessibility is integral to the recruitment process.
