Uniquely endowed with many of the world’s critical minerals, the Ring of Fire is one of the last remaining large, under explored, multi-commodity geological structures in the world. With over 27,000 mineral claims covering in excess of 5,300 square kilometers, Juno is the largest mineral claim holder in the Ring of Fire.

Job Description: Project Geologist

Our camp in the James Bay lowlands is looking for a Project Geologist that would be working a fly-in/fly-out rotation. As a Project Geologist, you will focus on understanding the overall geological environment of the various exploration projects and provide technical support to the entire team. The role will involve coordinating geological and geophysical interpretations, data organization, and modelling work, incorporating all types of GIS and analytical data.

The Project Geologist position is an important part of the exploration team. The candidate will support all aspects of exploration from a digital data capture and organization standpoint, as well as being responsible for maintaining the exploration database, GIS geodatabases, and producing maps and figures as needed. The candidate will work directly with the Geological Team and share tasks that may have a tight deadline, the candidate should be able to work under pressure and changing conditions.

Your duties will include:

• Identifying, prioritizing and developing drilling targets, including justification and support.

• Interpreting and analyzing the results of drilling and other geological and geotechnical information to develop geologic models and mineralization theories, delineate current and future exploration targets.

• Ensuring 43-101 compliant sampling, QA/QC, geologic and geotechnical data collection programs are being followed.

• Ensuring compliance with all governmental obligations, legislation and all appropriate environmental and exploration permits.

• Assisting in the creation and/or presentation of geologic information for internal as well as external use.

• Assist in planning and monitoring the results of all exploration programs.

• Identifying geologic opportunities and working collaboratively with the entire team to realize the full potential of the exploration projects.

• Planning and supervising deployment and data collection in the field.

• Ensuring health and safety, and environmental protocols are in place and adhered to.

• Supervising contractors (QA/QC, logistics, H&S) onsite and remotely.

The role includes a significant portion of time based in the field. The proportion of field time would vary with exploration activities over the year and could be in any season. Candidates should be prepared to spend up to a few weeks in the field during any rotation.

What we are looking for:

· Candidates must have a minimum of five years mineral exploration experience, at least a BSc in geology, and PGeo status in Ontario is preferred.

· Strong geological knowledge

· Excellent organizational skills

· Strong communication and collaboration skills are required

· Technical proficiency

· Desire to learn new software and new techniques

· Experience working in remote locations is an asset

· Drivers’ License is an asset

· Ability to work in remote locations, with some flexibility for changing dates (weather etc.)

· Valid First-Aid and XRF certifications are considered an asset

· Must be capable of lifting and helping move core boxes (up to 35kgs)

· Must be eligible to work in Canada
