Senior Manager, PCG Training & Development

How does the role impact the organization?

The Senior Manager, PCG Training & Development will lead the strategy, design, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs for the PCG branch network. The role will ensure advisors, associates, and branch leaders receive practical, timely, and engaging learning support for core processes, desktop tools, workflow changes, regulatory updates, and onboarding requirements. This forward-thinking leader will also champion the responsible use of AI and learning technologies to modernize the PCG training offering, improve learner experience, scale access to training resources, and strengthen adoption across branches.

What will your role be responsible for?

Training strategy and program leadership

  • Set the PCG training strategy and roadmap in alignment with branch needs, firm priorities, regulatory requirements, operational changes, and advisor experience objectives.
  • Lead the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of PCG training programs, in consultation with internal partners, of workflow/process training, technical application training, skills development, and leadership or role-based learning where applicable.
  • Partner with Practice Management and Technology to continue to develop and deliver Client Relationship Management (CRM) training in support of best practices for advisors and their team members, to help increase adoption of Dynamics CRM for advisor teams.

AI-enabled learning innovation

  • Identify and implement practical AI-enabled opportunities to enhance the training offering, including intelligent knowledge retrieval, scenario-based learning, personalized learning pathways, content drafting support, training analytics, and faster conversion of process changes into learner-ready materials.
  • Partner with all internal departments and business stakeholders to ensure AI-supported training practices are accurate, secure, appropriately governed, and aligned with firm standards.
  • Use learning data, learner feedback, branch trends, and operational insights to recommend improvements and prioritize training investments.

Branch training delivery and adoption

  • Plan and facilitate engaging in-person, virtual, webinar, eLearning, and blended training sessions for PCG branches across Canada.
  • Support national rollouts of new workflows, regulatory changes, desktop tools, applications, and firm-wide projects by translating complex information into practical, branch-ready training and communications.
  • Proactively engage with new employees to ensure they understand available training resources and feel supported during onboarding and transition periods.
  • Lead the support of training for competitive hires and their team members.

Curriculum design, content, and knowledge assets

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, business leaders, instructional designers, and communications partners to develop curriculum, job aids, guides, videos, presentations, toolkits, SharePoint resources, and other learning assets.
  • Apply adult learning principles, inclusive design practices, and learner-centered facilitation techniques to make training clear, accessible, relevant, and easy to apply.
  • Review, curate, and maintain PCG eLearning and learning materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, quality, and alignment with internal communications and process documentation.

Stakeholder partnership and change enablement

  • Act as a trusted training partner and subject matter expert for PCG Administration, Operations, IT, Compliance, HR, Practice Management partners, project teams, and branch leadership.
  • Advise on training impacts for firm-wide project deliverables, workflow changes, regulatory initiatives, desktop tool updates, and new systems or process implementations.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal platform owners to ensure PCG desktop application training materials and support resources remain current.

Governance, measurement, and administration

  • Establish training standards, program governance, and quality controls for PCG training content, logistics, reporting, and learner communications.
  • Track participation, course feedback, learning outcomes, and program effectiveness; prepare reporting and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate schedules, communications, course launches, LMS administration, SharePoint updates, compliance reporting, budgets, vendors, and training resources where applicable.

People leadership and team development

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to PCG training resources and junior team members, including prioritization of work, deliverables, quality review, and development support.
  • Model strong collaboration, accountability, adaptability, and service orientation while fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement across PCG Administration and branch-facing support teams.
