Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Project Leader to lead strategic initiatives supporting the OPS Enterprise Network Security Program. This role is responsible for providing senior-level leadership, governance, and delivery oversight for large-scale, high-risk enterprise cybersecurity and network security transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will lead multiple concurrent cybersecurity programs, including Secure Service Edge (SSE), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Prisma Access, Web Application Firewall (WAF), firewall modernization, cloud security integration, and enterprise security control enhancements.

This position requires strong expertise in enterprise security architectures, cybersecurity governance, project delivery methodologies, stakeholder management, and leading complex technology transformation programs across large organizations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Cybersecurity & Network Security Leadership

  • Provide senior leadership and strategic direction for enterprise cybersecurity and network-security initiatives.
  • Lead governance and delivery of multiple security transformation programs aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Drive adoption of:
    • Zero Trust Architecture
    • Modern network security frameworks
    • Cloud security practices
  • Establish strong relationships with:
    • Executive sponsors
    • Business stakeholders
    • Cybersecurity teams
    • Infrastructure teams
  • Lead steering committees, governance forums, and stakeholder meetings.

  • Promote continuous improvement in security posture, operational processes, and service delivery.

  • Next Generation Firewall modernization
  • Secure remote-access modernization
  • Cloud security integration programs
  • Translate business and technical requirements into detailed project plans and delivery roadmaps.

    • Change management activities
    • Security engineering teams
    • Network teams
    • Operations teams
  • Identify and mitigate technical, operational, and security risks.
  • Documentation
  • Knowledge transfer
  • Operational readiness

  • Drive optimization and continuous improvement opportunities.

3. Project Management & Stakeholder Communication

  • Manage complex technology projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain:
    • Project plans
    • Status reports
    • Risk registers
    • Issue logs
    • Dependency trackers
    • Governance documentation
  • Facilitate:
    • Workshops
    • Planning sessions
    • Requirements gathering meetings
    • Risk reviews
    • Decision-making forums
  • Communicate complex cybersecurity and technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Manage competing priorities across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Lead conflict resolution and decision-making processes.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with project governance standards and quality controls.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

Enterprise IT & Cybersecurity Leadership

  • 10+ years of experience in senior project/program management roles.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale IT modernization and cybersecurity programs.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Cybersecurity principles
    • Security governance
    • Risk management
    • Cloud security
    • Network security
    • Zero Trust architectures
    • Security-by-Design practices
  • Experience working with executive stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.

Network Security & Technology Delivery Experience

Strong experience delivering enterprise security initiatives involving:

  • Secure Service Edge (SSE)
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
  • Prisma Access
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF)
  • Firewall migration and modernization
  • Network security controls
  • Cloud security integration
  • Secure remote access solutions
  • Enterprise infrastructure security

Candidate should have:

  • Strong understanding of modern network-security architectures.
  • Experience managing complex technical dependencies.
  • Experience coordinating cybersecurity implementation teams.
  • Experience managing security vendors and third-party partners.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into project execution plans.

  • 10+ years of project/program management experience
