Job description

We’re building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world. We need talented, passionate professionals who are dedicated to doing what’s right for our clients.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Analyst on the Canadian Depositary Receipts (CDRs) team within the Wealth Solutions Group at CIBC Global Markets, you will play a key role in supporting the growth and distribution of the CDR platform across all wealth channels, including full-service advisors, brokerage firms, and self-directed investors. You will work closely with partners across sales, product management, marketing, trading, operations, technology, and communications to help drive awareness, adoption, and ongoing success of the CDR product suite. Working alongside a collaborative and entrepreneurial team, you will contribute to sales enablement initiatives, marketing campaigns, educational content development, dealer engagement efforts, website and digital communications, and new product launches. You will support business development activities, help coordinate strategic initiatives, and provide day-to-day support to internal stakeholders and external partners. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across sales, marketing, product management, and business strategy while contributing to the continued growth of the CDR business.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

The expected annualized base salary for this role is $95,000.

The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

We are committed to providing fair, equitable, and competitive compensation opportunities for all employees and we encourage open conversations about compensation throughout the recruitment process.

How You'll Succeed

  • Sales & Business Support – Support senior sales professionals through presentation development, meeting preparation, reporting, client communications, and business development initiatives. Assist in identifying opportunities to grow CDR adoption across advisor and self-directed investor channels. Travel may be required within Canada at times to ensure client coverage.
  • Marketing & Communications – Help create presentations, website content, educational materials, webinars, newsletters, videos, and other marketing initiatives designed to grow awareness and adoption of CDRs.
  • Business Strategy & Project Coordination – Support new product launches, strategic initiatives, conferences, webinars, and business development projects. Research industry trends, competitor developments, and investor behavior to help identify new opportunities and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Relationship Building – Develop strong partnerships with clients, and across the Wealth Solutions Group and broader organization while building expertise in capital markets and investment products.
  • Attention to Detail – Ensure accuracy, professionalism, and timely execution across communications, presentations, reporting, and project deliverables.

Who You Are

  • You hold an undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is considered an asset.
  • You are a motivated self-starter with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • You are an excellent communicator with experience developing presentations, written content, and client-facing materials.
  • You are highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Bloomberg, Python, VBA, AI tools, digital communications, or website content management is an asset.
  • You can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • You are curious, entrepreneurial, and eager to learn. You enjoy turning ideas into action, working across teams, and contributing to business growth.
  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.

What CIBC Offers

At CIBC, your goals are a priority. We start with your strengths and ambitions as an employee and strive to create opportunities to tap into your potential. We aspire to give you a career, rather than just a paycheck.

  • We work to recognize you in meaningful, personalized ways including a competitive salary, incentive pay, banking benefits, a benefits program*, defined benefit pension plan*, an employee share purchase plan, a vacation offering, wellbeing support, and MomentMakers, our social, points-based recognition program.
  • Our spaces and technological toolkit will make it simple to bring together great minds to create innovative solutions that make a difference for our clients.
  • We cultivate a culture where you can express your ambition through initiatives like Purpose Day; a paid day off dedicated for you to use to invest in your growth and development.
  • Subject to plan and program terms and conditions
