Job description

We’re building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world. We need talented, passionate professionals who are dedicated to doing what’s right for our clients.

At CIBC, we embrace your strengths and your ambitions, so you are empowered at work. Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of CIBC's Enterprise Employer Brand team, you'll support a fast-moving digital banking business by building and activating an employee value proposition (EVP) expression that reflects a digital-first, product-led culture within CIBC's broader employee promise. As an Employer Brand leader with a strong employee experience lens, you'll help shape a talent promise grounded in what candidates and team members actually experience. You'll uncover meaningful proof points, define a compelling story, and strengthen the messaging, content, and recruiter tools that bring it to life. You'll create work that feels current, credible, and relevant to developers, digital builders, and product-minded talent. Through this work, you'll help the business show up in a way that's clear, authentic, and aligned to the audiences it wants to reach.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How You'll Succeed

  • Shape the EVP through the employee experience - Lead work for a dedicated sub-brand by connecting the external talent story to real culture signals, audience needs, and meaningful proof points. Help ensure the story is tailored to the audience and identify where the employee experience can better deliver on that promise.
  • Build talent stories that connect - Create clear, compelling talent narratives across copy, briefs, social content, recruiter tools, and executive-ready presentations. Turn strategy into persuasive stories, structure complex ideas, and make work feel native to the channels people use every day.
  • Use insights to strengthen the work - Use employee, candidate, and channel insights to understand what's resonating, improve engagement, and sharpen how the business shows up to digital, product, and technology talent.
  • Move work forward across teams - Keep priorities on track by setting clear expectations, streamlining inputs, and helping partners make decisions across Employer Brand, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, business, and channel teams.
  • Write with an editorial lens - Distill complex inputs into clear, human language that feels modern, practical, and authentic, without sounding like traditional banking copy.
  • Market talent in a modern way - Help a challenger digital banking brand stand out by for talent by creating relevant, audience-centric work that balances creativity, speed, credibility, and measurable impact.

Who You Are

  • You're an employer brand and employee experience connector. You know a strong talent story must be credible, ownable, and grounded in how people actually experience the work
  • You're a whole talent experience thinker. You're curious about what happens before, during, and after someone applies, and you can turn those insights into practical improvements.
  • You have a digital builder mindset. You understand product-minded teams, digital experiences, and talent that wants to build, test, learn, and move quickly.
  • You bring strong creative and writing range. You can shape strategy, write copy, tighten briefs, and translate complex ideas into clear, compelling materials that help leaders align and act.
  • You're a responsive and practical operator. You work well with high-performing partners, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and keep priorities moving with discipline.
  • Cross-team connector. You are confident aligning internal teams, business partners and channel owners so the work is cohesive and easy to act on.
  • Builder in ambiguity. You bring structure, momentum and practical judgment when the path is not fully defined.
  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.

What CIBC Offers

At CIBC, your goals are a priority. We start with your strengths and ambitions as an employee and strive to create opportunities to tap into your potential. We aspire to give you a career, rather than just a paycheck.

  • We work to recognize you in meaningful, personalized ways including a competitive salary, incentive pay, banking benefits, a benefits program*, defined benefit pension plan*, an employee share purchase plan, a vacation offering, wellbeing support, and MomentMakers, our social, points-based recognition program.
  • Our spaces and technological toolkit will make it simple to bring together great minds to create innovative solutions that make a difference for our clients.
  • We cultivate a culture where you can express your ambition through initiatives like Purpose Day; a paid day off dedicated for you to use to invest in your growth and development.
  • Subject to plan and program terms and conditions
