The Cognitive Brain Health Laboratory at Sunnybrook Research Institute (SRI) is seeking a highly organized proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a dynamic clinical research program under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Rabin.
Our laboratory conducts innovative research in dementia womens brain health neuromodulation and cognitive aging. This position is primarily focused on research administration project coordination and research operations. The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring the efficient management of multiple research projects funding initiatives and laboratory activities.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing complex projects coordinating multiple priorities and supporting the efficient operation of a high-performing clinical research program. Please note that it is primarily an administrative position not a hands-on research position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the day-to-day administrative and operational management of multiple research projects.
- Prepare submit and maintain Research Ethics Board (REB) applications amendments renewals and regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate grant administration including progress reports milestone reports budgets and correspondence with funding agencies.
- Draft and coordinate research legal and data-sharing agreements as well as other institutional documentation.
- Maintain and update curriculum vitae bio-sketches publication records funding histories and other academic materials.
- Maintain and update the laboratory and study-specific websites (Wix) and prepare electronic newsletters using Mailchimp.
- Build and manage REDCap databases surveys and electronic data capture systems.
- Coordinate meetings with collaborators trainees and stakeholders including preparing agendas minutes and follow-up action items.
- Organize scientific meetings workshops conferences visiting speakers and educational events.
- Maintain research records and ensure compliance with institutional regulatory and funding agency requirements.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of the laboratory.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in a health-related discipline public health health administration life sciences or a related field.
- Previous experience coordinating projects or programs in a healthcare academic research or administrative settings
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience preparing professional reports administrative documents or grant-related materials.
- Experience with REDCap and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with REB submissions regulatory documentation grant administration and/or research operations
- Experience coordinating meetings events or multi-stakeholder collaborations is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently anticipate needs and proactively manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
