And that’s where you come in.Job Description:To assist in the hardware electrical design of new or revised products, equipment, and installations, utilizing processes based on established engineering principles to meet requirements. Involves designs of moderate complexity.Key Accountabilities:Assist in the design of new or revised products, equipment, and installations utilizing established engineering principles to meet customer and Railway requirements.Manage requirements for all assigned projects or products.Create schematics for designs.Apply knowledge of Engineering Process and Lifecycle.Participate in testing, debugging, and verification.Document work according to internal and normative standards.Present technical issues at design reviews.Provide technical assistance to adjacent specialties, such as Safety and Program Management.Work harmoniously in a team environment while maintaining professionalism in the job and relationships.Track progress on all assigned tasks.Verify that all assigned work is completed accurately.Key Requirements:0–3 years of work experience in the industry.Experience with cabling, grounding techniques, and surge protection.Knowledge of Electrical Engineering Principles, including power circuits design, analog and digital electronic circuits, microprocessors, and telecommunications circuits.Experience with engineering tools:CAD systems (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical)Multi-meterOscilloscopeProtocol AnalyzersWell-developed verbal and writing skills in English to allow clear communication and preparation of concise and information-filled documents/work packages.Ability to follow directions and work instructions, using sound judgment in the performance of assigned work.Ability to present pros and cons for various courses of action.Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent combination of diplomas and work experience.Preferred Qualifications:1+ years of experience in the Railway Signalling industry.Experience in formulating or contributing to the development of new designs.Exposure to devising and running tests to verify functionality and identifying and solving problems.Reviewing applicable specifications, standards, rules, etc., and ensuring appropriate actions are taken.Implementation of designs using best practices and applicable standards/guidelines.Proficiency in the skills current to the technology of the discipline.Making efficient re-use of existing designs.Certification: PEO eligibility.Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.Total Compensation Range (Base Salary + Annual Incentive plan) : $69,981- $89,719The Company provides an extensive benefits program for all full-time employees working 24 or more hours per week and their eligible dependents, including the following:Health, Dental and Vision plans - 100% of premiums are company-paidRetirement Savings Plan with a company contribution and a match, and without vesting periodCompany paid holidays - 3 weeks of vacation, Holiday closure, personal emergency leave days and sick daysMaternity/Parental/Adoption top up payAnnual Incentive planCompany provided Life Insurance, STD and Employee Assistance PlanThis posting relates to an existing vacancy.Our hiring process uses both human and technology‑assisted (AI) tools to support candidate screening and assessment.
