Industry Education Management Type Educational Institution Founded 1967 Employees 1-10 Categories - Education - Conestoga College About the Role The Company is in search of a President and Chief Executive Officer to lead its institution through a significant period of renewal and growth. The successful candidate will be a principled and exceptional leader, responsible for the overall strategic direction, performance, and stewardship of the organization. This role involves close collaboration with the Board of Governors, senior leadership team, employees, students, and various external stakeholders, including government, industry, and community partners. The President and CEO will be tasked with providing strategic leadership in areas such as institutional planning, governance, academic quality, student success, financial sustainability, and workforce development. They must champion evidence-informed decision-making, operational excellence, and public accountability, while ensuring the institution remains responsive to the evolving needs of its diverse constituencies. Applicants for the President and CEO position at the company should be accomplished executives with significant senior leadership experience in a complex, accountable organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading through strategic change, financial complexity, and operational transformation, while fostering trust, transparency, and collaboration. Experience in working with governing boards, government, and diverse stakeholder groups is essential. The role requires a leader with exceptional judgment, political acuity, financial literacy, and communication skills, who is deeply committed to student success, academic excellence, workforce development, and community impact.
