Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Finance About the Company Well-established local healthcare group Industry Hospital & Health Care Type Privately Held, VC-backed Founded 2017 Employees 10,001+ Funding $1-$5 million About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive team. The successful candidate will be a key leader in shaping the strategic direction, financial stewardship, and operational effectiveness of the organization. This critical role involves the leadership and oversight of all financial systems, long-term priority alignment with the organizational vision, and ensuring the sustainability of operating budgets, capital planning, investments, and supply chain. The VP & CFO will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive financial strategies, fostering a culture of financial stewardship, and ensuring compliance with funding and regulatory standards. Close partnership with the President and CEO and senior leadership team is essential for informing strategic decision-making and identifying opportunities for growth and operational optimization. Applicants for the VP & CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 10-15 years' of progressive leadership experience in healthcare finance, with at least five years' at the executive level. A proven record of financial stewardship, strategic planning, and transformation within complex healthcare environments is required. Deep knowledge of healthcare regulations, reimbursement models, and sector dynamics, particularly in Ontario, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess a CPA designation or equivalent, and a Master's degree in a related discipline is preferred. The role demands highly developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups. The VP & CFO will also be responsible for leading finance, accounting, and administrative functions, and must be committed to building and mentoring high-performing teams while fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
