A career in Resourcing and Deployment, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to work in cross line of service staffing helping our network be even more agile in the ever evolving markets we work with, providing the right people on the right projects at the right time. You'll focus on ensuring that resources of suitable skills and calibre are available for tasks and activities as required as well as managing the education, planning, and skills enhancement associated with resources.
As a team, we maximise resource sharing and enable the delivery of PwC to our clients through line of service and cross line of service staffing, forecasting, utilisation, and workload balance while considering development and diversity initiatives.
The Opportunity
Asa Resourcing and Deployment Manager , unlock your potential and embrace the chance to drive meaningful outcomes that'll elevate your career. Your role will include, but isn't limited to:
- Strategically plan and oversee the allocation of Client Service Staff (CSS) to ensure; alignment with firm's strategic priorities, achievement of business metrics, and resolving unassigned clients and reallocations for new CSS joiners/leavers
- Utilize continuous planning and scheduling to meet firm utilization targets, with a primary focus on staff leverage and peak season metrics
- Gather information on staff career goals, strengths, and areas of opportunities to effectively match the right staff with the right client engagements.
- Collaborate and team with RM professionals to; share best practices, continuously improve processes, facilitate staff borrowing/lending and secondments, and participate in team initiatives for technology enhancements that drive operational improvement.
- Coach and oversee RM specialists, ensuring adherence to strategic resourcing processes and junior staffing procedures.
- Build strong relationships within the line of service to establish oneself as a trusted advisor while also promoting and focusing on resource sharing across regional counterparts.
- Analyze productivity reports and business needs to develop actionable plans for workload balancing, utilisation improvements, and the creation of new career paths that align staff interests with firm needs.
- Review and analyze financial results monthly, partnering with local leadership to recommend solutions on operational matters such as utilization , chargeable hours, and headcount adjustments.
- Develop expertise in RM technology, particularly Teambuilder , to support assignment planning, allocations, forecasting, and reporting .
- Supporting any business transformation initiatives relating to Consulting Resource Management and the implementation of related technologies and tools (e.g. TalentLink ; moving to Teambuilder in Spring 2026 ) while providing oversight into RM processes and procedures and initiating recommendations for process standardization and improvements .

- Strong problem-solving skills, with a clear understanding of the business impacts of resourcing decisions
- Aptitude for addressing and de‑escalating client concerns independently, maintaining professionalism in all interactions
- Ability to manage ambiguity and complex projects, think strategically, and demonstrate agility under tight deadlines
- Experienced in setting priorities, meeting, and exceeding deadlines while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality
- Proven track record of effective change management execution and the ability to deal confidently with partners and staff at all levels

Salary
The salary range for this position is $81,900 - $131,900. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
