At KPMG in Canada, our people bring their unique perspectives to Canada's most important challenges. Here, you can build momentum that reaches beyond our business, develop skills for the future, and take ownership of your career with support at every stage. Join a firm where your career can make a difference.

Your work matters. As part of our Audit & Assurance practice, you'll deliver high-quality work that supports trust, transparency, and confidence across both public and private organizations. We foster an environment of high challenge, where curiosity and critical thinking are encouraged. Through high support, including progressive learning, strong coaching, inclusive teamwork, and a shared commitment to integrity, we perform at our best - measuring what matters, recognizing impact, and continuously evolving to deliver excellence. This creates a culture where the best work happens when high challenge and high support work together. That balance is how our values show up-in how we work, how we lead, and what we deliver

The Resource Management team is part of KPMG's National Audit & Assurance Resource Management Team, leading initiatives that centralize, standardize and automate processes to effectively deploy resources in support of high quality, efficient audits.

We are seeking a highly organized and collaborative Resource Scheduler to support our National IT Audit practice. The Resource Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the assignment of professionals to client engagements while balancing business priorities, resource utilization, employee development, and client needs.

What you will do
  • Partner with IT Audit leaders and engagement managers to understand upcoming staffing requirements and resource demand.
  • Monitor resource availability, utilization, capacity, and scheduling conflicts, proactively identifying solutions to staffing challenges.
  • Balance business priorities while considering employee development goals, client commitments, and operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling data within the firm's resource management system.
  • Identify resource gaps, shortages, and upcoming availability, escalating risks and recommending staffing strategies.
  • Produce regular reports and dashboards on utilization, capacity, forecast demand, and scheduling metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling processes, reporting, and resource management practices.
  • Build trusted relationships with partners, directors, managers, and professionals across the national IT Audit practice.
What you bring to the role
  • 3+ years of experience in resource management, resource scheduling, workforce planning, or deployment within a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of utilization, capacity planning, forecasting, and resource allocation principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
