The Impact You Will Make

Reporting to theDirector Grant Finance & Compliance, theSenior Finance Analyst, Data, Insights & Learningwillbe responsibleforhelping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. You will play a pivotal role in advancing Save the Children’s fundraising modelling andanalytics capabilities, anddriving a culture of data-informed decision-making. Reporting to the Director, Grant Finance & Compliance, you will serve as an expert and hands‑on contributor, working closely with the External Engagement team and leveraging advanced analytics and data visualization tools—such as Power BI, Excel and other leading programs—to deliver actionable insights that optimize fundraising initiatives and supporter engagement.

Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)

Analytics Execution (50%)

  • Perform hands‑on data analysis, programming, and modeling using tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau and Excel.
  • Support the building, maintenance, and enhancement of fundraising dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support marketing performance measurement and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure data quality, integration, and hygiene across platforms, collaborating with finance and external engagement teams.
  • Pull, clean, and prepare data from CRM Salesforce and other offline sources to support analysis and reporting, including the quarterly extracts for SCI Benchmarking.

Cross‑ChannelAnalytics & Insights Support (10%)

  • Prepare datasets and preliminary analyses that support segmentation, file health monitoring, attribution, and campaign optimization.
  • Summarize trends, anomalies, and performance highlights for review by leaders within the Marketing Analytics and Technology team.
  • Contribute to insights decks, monthly performance reviews, andcross ‑ teamreporting forums.
  • Work with Director, Growth and Fundraising Strategy to update monthly expense reconciliation process in order to improve expense tracking for all private fundraising enabling more fluid and flexible investment strategy.

Marketing Analytics & Insights Leadership (15%)

  • Drive the development and implementation of integrated analytics, and predictive modeling tooptimizemarketing ROI.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for marketing channel managers and audience leads, embedding analytics throughout campaign planning and execution.
  • Support the adoption of advanced methodologies, including attribution modeling, predictive analytics, and file health monitoring, to drive data-informed decision-making.

Proposal Budgeting and Monitoring (25%)

  • Review budgets for new proposals and amendments in partnership with External Engagement and Business Operations, Country Office teams, ensuring compliance with Award Management Guidelines.
  • Support the budget development process to ensure financial accuracyin accordance withaccounting standards and Organization requirements.
  • Review Donor Agreements and Partner subcontracts to ensure financial compliance with donor requirements.
  • Lead budget re‑alignment and forecasting processes including review and detailed commentary of all draft budgets.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for SCC programs, including donor reports,consolidatedforecasts, budgets, burn rate, and variance analyses.
  • Collaborate with SCI team to upload the monthly data dump upload to the accounting system, ensuring the GL isaccurateand reconciled with SCI Reports.
  • Lead planning,preparationand pre‑audit review for successful execution of SCC annual audit and Comprehensive Partnership Assessment (CPA) donor audits.
  • Identifyandparticipateto process improvement initiatives, collaborating with Finance Management teams to update standard operating procedures and Finance Manual.

Qualifications Include (but Are Not Limited To)

  • Post‑secondary education inarelevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum5-7years ofexperiencein experience in International Development, Non‑Governmental Organization(NGO/INGO),orothernot‑for‑profit sectorsis preferred.
  • Advancedproficiencyworking with large financial data, data modeling, datavisualizationand business intelligence
  • Experience of analysis and modelling tools such as modeling using tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau and Excel.
  • Professionalproficiencyin spoken and written English.
  • Advancedcommunication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills fordiverse audiences tobuild strong working relationships across cultural and organizational settings, both internally and externally. French/Spanish/Arabic language skills is an asset.
  • Demonstrated project management experience for task execution of assignedobjectivessupported byproficiencywith MS Office tools and relevant technologies. Ability to work under pressure within tight timelines to achieve SCCobjectives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align data strategy with organizational goals.
  • Displays analytical and problem-solving skills to support initiatives withdemonstratedadaptability to support change management for successful task implementation.
  • Applies judgment and make sound decisions that are accountable, justifiable, and in adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Considers organizational strategy and thinks creatively to support innovative initiatives and collaborations that deliver benefits for the children and families we serve.
  • Progressive leadership experience in marketing analytics, strategic planning, or financial performance management.
  • Expertisein marketing KPIs, attribution modeling, predictive analytics, and supporter segmentation.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, including experience presenting complex information to senior decision-makers and non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstratedexpertisein marketing analytics, including hands‑on experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools.
  • Knowledge of CRM and multi‑channel marketing hub platforms (e.g., Blackbaud, Salesforce) and familiarity with database structures and data integration tools.
  • Ability to occasionally travel locally,nationallyand internationally (less than 10%) asrequired.

The salary range for this position is non‑union pay band 5 between$63,323.32 - $80,295.12 CAD depending on skills and experience.
