Job description

Position Overview

The Department of Medical Imaging at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Department of Medical Imaging, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto are recruiting a Diagnostic Neuroradiologist. The candidate will participate in the clinical and academic activities of the Division of Neuroradiology. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full‑time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. The start date is July 1, 2027 or later.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research and teach undergraduate and postgraduate learners.
  • Participate in clinical activities of the Division of Neuroradiology.
  • Provide rare emergency coverage in all other aspects of Diagnostic Radiology, including chest, abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal examinations.
  • Perform minor neuroradiology interventions such as lumbar punctures and spine biopsies.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for after‑hours (24/7) coverage.

Qualifications

  • MD or equivalent.
  • Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Diagnostic Imaging from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or an equivalent international qualification.
  • Residency training in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Minimum of two years clinical fellowship training in Neuroradiology.
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Remuneration

Estimated remuneration will depend on clinical income and ranges that exceed $300 000 per annum. Remuneration is commensurate with academic rank, qualifications, and experience.
